EvoACTG Evolutionary Atlas of Cardiac Transcriptomes and homologous Genes

EvoACTG: Evolutionary Atlas of Cardiac Transcriptomes and homologous Genes
Database of heart chamber specific gene expression pattern in vertebrates

EvoACTG is a web-repository of chamber-specific cardiac transcriptome data for 7 different vertebrate species with diverse anatomy. The resource explores the conserved nature of gene expression and enriched modules working in the different heart chambers of Zebrafish, African frog, Chicken, Goat, Rabbit, Mouse and Human. EvoACTG also contains information about conserved long non-coding RNAs and circular RNA transcripts. Users can analyse these homologs using three different strategies based on sequence, synteny and expression conservation of the transcripts. Our study also aims to provide an important resource for the community to help identify lncRNA homologs and examine the regional differences in the gene expression pattern of the heart. EvoACTG aims to facilitate the researchers to explore the intertwined expression of both coding and non-coding transcripts across model organisms.

About

Chamber-specific rRNA depleted bulk RNA-Sequencing was performed for the cardiac biopsies obtained from seven different vertebrate species. The raw data has been submitted to NCBI and can be accessed using the BioProject ID: PRJNA690979.
